Sundown Sunscreen Winning Spirit Camps
The Sundown Sunscreen Winning Spirit Camps, are four-hour camps sponsored by Johnson and Johnson's sunscreen product and designed to introduce summer club swimmers to competitive swimming and assist the summer coach through a very educational format designed for use by USS coaches.
Interested USS teams or coaches will receive a detailed format with team meetings, outlines, brochures, stroke videos and stroke charts.
Swimmers will receive Sundown samples, a Phillips 66 Stroke Brochure, Ultra-Swim Gold Medal Stroke Cards, other brochures and a chance to win prizes from Speedo, t- shirts and Sundown WSC caps.
The format includes video taping all swimmers and providing a stroke checklist for the summer team coach to evaluate skills. Leading team meetings with outlines provided for Nutrition, Saying No and Keeping Friends, and a video that includes: "Super Strokes", "A Winner Is Waiting", and "1984 Olympic Highlights".
The team also experiences sessions in pace clock reading and games and gimmicks to make practice fun. The USS coach's expenses are recovered by the summer club team paying a nominal fee to attend.
Now defunct. Info came from U.S. Swimming.

The RGJSL Junior Swim League Kit includes a coaches handbook, Sundown Winning Spirit Stroke Charts featuring racing tips from eight Olympians and a public service. announcement tape suitable for local V use featuring 1984 U.S. Olympic Gold medalist Rowdy Gaines, to be used as a tag or PSA with Rowdy promoting your team.
Also included are Phillips 66 Stroke Brochures for each swimmer, videos on "5 Perfect Strokes" and "A Winner Is Waiting", an age group motivator and USS brochures, including "A Tradition of Excellence."
